Attention 7th Graders!
I would like you to look up several Greek Gods or Goddesses. Find a few that interest you, and write down their names and what they are the God/Goddess of. For instance, if you choose Apollo, you would write "Apollo, God of the Sun." Make a list of a few Gods/Goddesses and bring this list to class Monday. You will need it for the project we will be working on for a few days!
Here is a website that will help you. It will list both Greek and Roman Gods/Goddesses. IGNORE THE ROMAN GOD/GODDESS LIST!

Attention 10th Graders!
I stumbled upon this website and they have several study activities to help you remember the main ideas/key points of chapter 6. Check this one out. It is a flash card activity. Keep in mind that there are a few terms on these cards that we have not covered and may not cover. Keep track of how many you get right out of the total.

10th Grade Reminders
10th Graders,
Here are your reminders for class:
1. You will need to have your binders set up by Thursday. You will need a 1-1.5 inch binder with 5 divider tabs. The tabs should be labeled: Bellwork, classwork/notes, homework, tests/quizzes, and data. This is your first homework assignment!
2. Text books will be passed out this week. You will need to have them covered. You can cover them with a paper bag, elastic stretchy cover, or another cover you may buy at the store.
I hope you are ready for a successful year!

7th Grade Reminders
7th Graders,
I hope you are as excited as I am to start the school year! Like I said, I will be using this website to remind you of important assignments and dates throughout the year. I will also post videos and articles on here.
Here are your reminders so far:
1. You will need your binders in class on Thursday. A 1-1.5 inch binder with 5 divider tabs. The tabs will be labeled: Bellwork, Classwork/Notes, Homework, Tests/Quizzes, and Data.
2. You will need a parent/guardian to sign your welcome letter (yellow sheet) and return that by Thursday too. That will get you 5 Bonus Points!
3. You will be getting your textbooks soon. I would like you to cover your books. You may use a stretchy cover, a paper bag, or any other cover. The books are not in the best shape, and covering them will help prevent further damage.
I look forward to working with you this year!

Welcome
Hello! Welcome to my class website. Before I explain how this site works and how it will be used, allow me to introduce myself and tell you a little bit about me. My name is Mr. Monty, and I am the new Social Studies teacher here at Ledgemont Junior/Senior High School! I graduated from Lake Erie College in Painesville, Ohio in December of 2012 with my bachelors degree in Adolescent-Young Adult Education. I am licensed to teach grades 7-12. This year, I will be teaching two 7th grade World History classes, two 10th grade American History classes, and one Current Events elective for 11th and 12th graders.
Allow me to explain how this website will be used. I plan to have a link for each individual class. I will be posting reminders about homework assignments, tests, quizzes, and other important info on this site. Also, I will be posting additional articles and videos that deal with topics discussed in class that will be helpful to you. You will NEVER turn in homework on this site.
I'm very excited to be working with you this year! Return soon to check for new posts!
